Dior Stores

In early 2018 PCT installed the first façade made of "White Bianca Carrara C" marble lamellas at the Christian Dior Store in the new fashion avenue extension of the Dubai Mall. Each lamella was cut to a specific size and angle, and later installed in a staggered way to create a unique illusion of waves running along the shopfront. Each individual lamella was bonded to a number of backing brackets to ensure secure anchoring.

After successful completion of the first store PCT was asked to undertake similar work in 3 additional shops within Asia: Macau, Shanghai and Bangkok. Opting for a slightly different look for the next stores the "Bianca Carrara C" was exchanged for "SIVIC" marble, which has less visible veining and is generally whiter overall.
