The beautiful Wilayah Mosque in Malaysia has 23 composite domes designed in the traditional form of the ottoman mosques in Turkey.
Especially interesting is the outer cladding ornamentation technique that was especially developed by the Premier team, when based in Malaysia, using a computerised pixel technique. This new technique allows patterning of ornaments using mosaic tiles to be displayed in any form or colour with a high quality, smooth finish.
The outer cladding of the 30m main dome is finished with turquoise mosaic tiles with floral motifs in the style of Safavid mosques in Isfahan whilst the inner cladding is finished in simple pale cream.
