FRP Exhibition Stand 100% Design London 2010

Premier Composite Technologies (PCT) was pleased to join forces with award-winning Norwegian architect Snøhetta, to create an inspirational exhibition stand made entirely from advanced composite materials for 100% Design London 2010.

PCT and Snøhetta collaborated at 100% Design London in an effort to demonstrate to the architectural and design markets the benefits of working with composite materials over more traditional materials such as steel and concrete.
The stand that was designed by Snøhetta, but engineered, constructed and installed by PCT from their Dubai-based manufacturing facilities. The stand was moulded out of a glass fibre and epoxy resin composite and combined with a structural foam core - materials that are renowned for their fluid and high-strength properties.
The stand features architectural elements that were initially designed for the RAK gateway tower in Ras-Al Khaimah, and includes the same bonded windows that are scattered in a repetitive geometric pattern.

The PCT prototyping department was pleased to have worked together with Snøhetta to produce a 1:1 prototype composite façade panel for this new tower.
